I’ve put together a lot of resources for living in Israel (apartments, jobs, transportation, movie listings, etc. ) on The Big Felafel (http://thebigfelafel.com) , especially the Essentials section, but the whole blog is pretty much one big bag of tips for living in Israel. good luck with your aliyah adventures..

Check out this very useful website; http://www.anglo-list.com – it is full of practical information and tips on making aliyah and living in Israel. Paying your bills, shopping, education, housing, employment and so much more. The website is supported by a Facebook page as well. The site is in English, but has a translation facility and is accessible in 50 different languages.
